TWO employees of Chilenje first level hospital have been dragged to the Lusaka High Court for allegedly stealing property valued at K 19,000 belonging to the Ministry of Health.
Richard Zozi, 24, a Clerk and Sydney Simutete, 29, a Laundry Man were dragged to court after they were charged with theft by public servants.
When the matter was called for allocations before Chief Resident Magistrate Kenneth Mulife, Zozi and Simutete, who are on police bond, were reported to have been absent before court.
Mr Mulife allocated the matter to Magistrate David Simusamba where the two accused are expected to appear for plea.
The duo are in count one facing a charge of theft by public servants contrary to section 277 and 278 of the laws of Zambia.
Zozi and Simutete were on August 8, jointly and while acting together, alleged to have stolen a dental chair, an X-Ray Machine, an operator’s chair and a light source for the dental valued at K 19,000 belonging to the Ministry of Health.
