Three Chinese Nationals who were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery have appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates Court.
Before Chief Residence Magistrate Aridah Chulu were Fan Yi Hao, Wang Cheu and Wu Yi Long .
The trio appeared in court after they were arrested on charges of stealing cash and property, and abduction of their fellow Chinese national.
The trio could not take plea has the court was still waiting for instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to be committed to the high court has the alleged offence was only tried by the High Court.
However, the charges were read out to them and they told the court through a Chinese interpreter that they understood the charges leveled against them.
They are in count one facing a charge of aggravated robbery contrary to the Laws of Zambia
The trio are on March 7 and 8 alleged to have jointly and while acting together with others unknown steal a wallet, US$ 1000 and an iphone 6 cell phone all valued at K10,000 property of Shi Chunhu.
In count two the trios are facing a charge of demanding property with intent to steal contrary to the laws of Zambia.
It is alleged that the trio on the same dates jointly and while acting together with others unknown with intent to steal with menaces did demand and stole K 475,000 from Gu Chunjie.
In count three they are facing a charge of abduction in order to murder contrary to the laws of Zambia.
It is alleged that the trio on the same dates did abduct Shi Chunhua in order to murder or disposed of or to put in danger of being murdered.
The matter has been adjourned to April 5
